Kozjak waterfall

Kozjak waterfall was formed on the Kozjak stream and it flows into the river Soca near Kobarid. I was persuaded by it’s beauty and most of all by an easy access.

It takes you about half an hour of walk from the parking area to the Great Kozjak. The path is easy and well marked. When you get there, it will take your breath away. The waterfall is 15m high and it drops into an emerald green pool surrounded by rock walls.

Beside the path to the waterfall, you can see interesting defensive trenches from the 1st World War.

On our trip, we made a few more stops at the Tolmin gorges, source of the river Soca, Russian chapel, the highest pass in Slovenia called Vrsic. We also stopped at a monument to Dr. Julius Kugya and Kluze fortress too.

Nice day with a lot of good memories.
