Canyoning presents an adrenaline-filled activity which takes place in canyons and gorges of tributaries which feed the Soča River, far away from all the raucous and crowded places of the world.
Waterfalls of the canyon Sušec, which were formed by nature on the slopes of the mountain Stol, are well hidden. The path to the starting point of descend takes us across an old Italian bridle path and from there on it’s all about the adventure.
Some waterfalls resemble natural slides so we were on our backsides on the way down. Others had to be overcome by jumping into the crystal clear stream pools. For bigger waterfalls, we used a rope.
It was a fun, dynamic and unique way of getting to know thousands of years of nature’s work.
And of course we meet some new friends.
